DBU(1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]-undec-7-ene) and DBN (1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene ) were found to have catalytic activity in reactions with Carboxyl compound, say Carboxyl rubber, carboxylic ester  ,carboxylic acid,  carboxylic chloride and carboxylic bromide.

Especially in AEM/ ACM/FKM carboxyl copolymers vulcanization, as vulcanizing agents, tertiary amine complex which acts as powerful Lewis base with a high catalytic effect. They were originally developed for use in thylenne acrylate copolymers (ACM/AEM) with acidic pending groups. They activates the reation between acidic groups and diamine cross-links.

Abstracts
(A)To solve a problem that, even though a fluororesin is attracting attention in a medical field as a material for rubber products such that a liquid medicine and the rubber does no come in direct contact, because elution of an additive blended into rubber, flavoring, and the like become problems, the fluororesin has little adhesivity to other materials by providing a laminate where a rubber layer and a fluororesin layer are strongly adhered without using an adhesive and without providing each layer of the rubber layer and the fluororesin layer with a surface treatment, and which is excellent in chemical resistance, low leachability, and low flavoring property. The INABA TSUYOSHI found a good solution: A laminate comprises a rubber layer (A) and a fluororesin layer (B) laminated on the rubber layer (A). The fluororesin layer (B) is preferably a layer formed of a fluoropolymer composition containing a fluoropolymer having at least a copolymerization unit derived from chlorotrifluoroethylene. Rubber of the rubber layer is provided with adhesive strength by making rubber such as NBR include a diazabicyclo compound such as DBU(1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]-undec-7-ene) and DBN (1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene ) .
(B)To provide a laminate rubber hose excellent in terms of biodiesel fuel oil resistance and having a high adhesiveness in-between a fluorinated rubber layer provided as an innermost layer and an NBR layer adjacent thereto. The inner layer 5 consists of a rubber including (D) an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, (E) a metal hydroxide, and (F) at least one selected from among DBU, DBU salts, DBN, DBN salts, and organic phosphonium salts in a state where at least 0.5 pt.wt. and no more than 30 pts.wt. of the component (E) and at least 0.1 pt.wt. and no more than 10 pts.wt. of the component (F) are mixed with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the component (D).
(C)With a multi-layer flexible hose, in particular a drinking water hose. In order to improve adhesion, the multi-layer flexible hose contains at least one layer I, constructed from at least one fluoropolymer, and at least one further layer II, constructed from at least one rubber, which layers are in direct contact with each other, wherein layer II ONKEN KRISTIAN used an adhesion promoter system that consists of at least one 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene salt (DBU salt) and/or at least one 1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene salt (DBN salt), and wherein layer II has a cross-linking system containing at least one sulfur and/or at least one sulfur donor or a cross-linking system containing at least one peroxide or a cross-linking system containing at least one polyvalent metal oxide or a cross-linking system containing at least one diisocyanate or a cross-linking system containing at least one resin or a cross-linking system containing at least one dioxime or a cross-linking system containing at least one bisphenol or a cross-linking system containing at least one multifunctional silane.
